Berlin transport association launches children’s podcast
Ever the unconventional, at least when it comes to advertising, social media and slogans, the local transport association in Berlin, the BVG, has launched its own podcast for children.
Gleisdreick, named after the station and area between Kreuzberg and Schöneberg, follows three children, Lilly, Elif and Anton, as they travel around the city.
Of course, adventures unfold, including saving their favourite tree, attending a climate demonstration, going on a treasure hunt and even into… the future. According to the BVG, the podcast touches on children’s questions about mobility, inclusion and sustainability.
BVG Gleisdreieck podcast available every Tuesday
Narrated by the BVG’s very own station announcer Philippa Jarke, new episodes 10-part of the Gleisdreick podcast become available every Tuesday.
Each episode lasts around 20 minutes and according to the BVG is “natürlich auch für Erwachsene”. Nächster Halt: Deutsch üben.
