With summer finally showing itself, it would be a shame to waste even a moment indoors. The Berlin Open-Air Cinema allows visitors to enjoy all their favourite movies while basking in the glorious rays of sunshine or twinkling of stars at three different locations in Berlin.

What to expect at Berlin Open-Air Cinema 2024

If you’re looking for something exciting to do this summer, then the Berlin Open-Air Cinema is an absolute must. With each location able to host 1.500 visitors, prepare yourself to enjoy some of the most recent blockbusters, art-house films or German language hits at these cosy outdoor theatres.

Settle down to watch the film of your choice on one of the comfortable benches with backrests - or take one of the additional 300 seats for those who would prefer to sit at a table. There's even a lush lawn for those who want to enjoy a picnic with their movie. You are also welcome to bring your dog(s) to the cinema, as long as they are on a lead.

All are welcome at the Berlin Open-Air Cinema, but for those among us who do not speak German, it is advisable to read the programme thoroughly, as most films are dubbed in German (unless otherwise stated).

Attending Open-Air Cinema Berlin 2024

If you think watching movies under the starry skies sounds fun, you can purchase a ticket (or several!) online, through the website of the Open-Air Cinema Berlin, where you can also find the full film programme and directions to the locations by public transport.

A regular online ticket costs 9 euros (the reduced ticket for Berlin Pass holders is 5 euros). Once you’ve purchased a ticket, there’s no need to worry about the weather, because come rain or shine, the show will go on. Admission begins one hour before the start of the film, so grab your popcorn and get set for a night of fun!
