French Week Heidelberg
French Week Heidelberg takes place this October, with around 50 events relating to French and Franco-German culture!
Over 50 French cultural events in Heidelberg
Expect to immerse yourself in theatre, literature, music, dance, acrobatic spectacles and so much more. French Week Heidelberg (Französische Woche Heidelberg) is organised by the Franco-German Cultural Association.
"Attention!" is the motto of French Week 2024. This means not only to be careful, but also to behave respectfully towards other people and the environment
The programme is extremely diverse and eclectic, ranging from literature and film events to circus performances or a French knowledge quiz!
French Markets
The markets are always a big draw for French Week. Here are some of the markets taking place:
Craft and Photo Day
The Saturday market on Wilhelmsplatz Heidelberg Weststadt will turn French on Saturday, October 19, with French photography, handicrafts and culinary products.
French Book Flea Market
On Friday, October 18, at Montpellier House, you can browse French-language books at the French book flea market. If you have books in French to give away, you can donate them here too!
French music
A French-themed event would not be complete without French music. Here are some of the music events taking place:
Passion Chansons
With heart and sensitivity, Christophe, a German-French chanteur, sings the great classics as well as selected unrecognised gems, and maybe even his own compositions that you haven't heard!
Musical evening from Romanticism to the Belle Époque
Go on a musical journey and enjoy French music from the Romantic period to the Belle Époque!
