Wide World Festival (Weite Welt)
Does opera with the sand between your toes appeal to you? Perhaps enjoying the theatre in your swimsuit? If so, Wide World is the festival for you!
Travemunde Beach is the beautiful summery setting for the festival, which promises a carefree, relaxing programme of music, art and culture. Diversity is key, with things that can't be easily pigeon-holed or described as one thing filling the 11-day lineup.
Take a dip in the sea as a band plays, or get grooving on the beach. The beach terraces offer pallet lounges or deck chairs to chill out in as the sun goes down and the party keeps going.
