Start a new chapter in your life with Coyotiv School of Software Engineering
As an expat, you're no stranger to challenges. Moving to a new country means adapting to a new culture, language, and way of life. And when it comes to building a new career, the difficulties seem even more daunting.
Coyotiv believes everyone has the potential to succeed in the tech industry.
Fortunately there's one way to make the transition a little easier: finding your own pack and starting to work towards a common goal.
Coyotiv School of Software Engineering offers a 13-week remote full-stack software engineering programme that will not only teach you the technical skills you need to succeed in the tech industry, but also provide a sense of community and support. Being surrounded by like-minded individuals and having a clear goal to work towards will help you feel more grounded and focused. It can be a great source of motivation and inspiration, and hopefully it will help you build a fulfilling new life in your new home.
Do I have what it takes to become a software engineer?
Software engineering is a field that requires a mix of technical skills and problem-solving abilities. It's not just about knowing how to write code, but also about being able to design and build systems that solve real-world problems. This requires a combination of logical thinking, creativity, and attention to detail.
While these skills may seem daunting at first, they're not necessarily innate or beyond the reach of anyone with the desire and dedication to learn them. Coyotiv believes that everyone has the potential to succeed in the tech industry, regardless of their prior experience or knowledge. With the right resources and guidance, all you need is the motivation to take the first step towards a new career.
Choosing the right programme
One key to learning software engineering is finding a programme that's tailored to your needs and goals. Look for a programme that offers a mix of theory and practices, as well as opportunities for hands-on experience. This will help you not only learn the technical skills you need, but also apply what you learn to real-world projects.
Finding a support network
Another important factor is finding a supportive community of learners and instructors. Look for a programme that offers mentorship, one-on-one attention, career coaching, and access to a network of professionals in the field. This can be especially valuable for those who are new to the tech industry and may feel intimidated by the learning curve.
Ultimately, the key to learning software engineering is perseverance and a determination to push through challenges. While it may have its ups and downs, it's an incredibly rewarding road and you’ll enjoy every step along the way.
Why should I choose Coyotiv among so many alternatives?
What sets Coyotiv apart is their focus on practical learning and personalised support. Adopting the software craftspersonship movement, they take students on as apprentices. Just like master artisans, master software developers have their own styles, and they expand those styles to schools and teach their own path to their apprentices. While it would take years to learn everything from scratch, finding a good master and being a dedicated apprentice can provide a fast track to success.
Learn from world-class professionals
At Coyotiv, you'll be learning from world-class professionals who have years of firsthand experience in the tech industry. The course is designed and taught by Armagan Amcalar, a master craftsperson who entered the field of programming over 20 years ago.
Acting as a team lead, software architect, engineering manager and CTO, Armagan has led hundreds of people in the industry and supported them through their career journey. The curriculum he designed is based on the everyday practices the Coyotiv engineering team actually uses.
Story-based, hands-on learning experience
With this unique approach, you will learn by working on your dream project, from day one. At the end of the course, you will finalise your project and be ready to launch products on your own. You will master software engineering practices including OOP, software architecture, design patterns, REST APIs, CI/CD and git in depth. You’ll learn the ins and outs of modern component-based frontend development with Vue.js; dig databases with MongoDB and cover backend development with Node.js.
Coyotiv’s instructors will guide you through this end-to-end journey, providing a story-based education that allows you to apply what you learn directly to your project. Rather than following a traditional "theory first, then practise" approach, they emphasise a simultaneous combination of both.
Instead of a one-size-fits-all curriculum, Coyotiv focuses on providing a collaborative, creative, hands-on learning experience that will help you to get a sense of what transitioning to your new career will look like. You’ll experience what it means to work in a team with other aspiring engineers, communicate your ideas clearly and effectively, and manage your time so that you deliver quality software, right on time. That’s why they teach you the fundamentals of Agile and Lean development and project management on your own project.
Career coaching
Numerous students changed their lives at the end of this intense 13-week programme and graduated as confident software engineers, ready to learn the next technology whenever it comes out, because they now understand the mentality of modern software engineering.
Career coaching sessions and preparation for job applications is an essential part of this journey. Your career coach will help you with everything from writing effective resumes to mock interviews and online portfolios. And even after you've landed your dream job (which 80 percent of Coyotiv students do within six months of completing the course), you'll always be a part of the Coyotiv community. Just like a pack of coyotes, supporting each other...
Sounds great, but can I afford it?
Coyotiv's mission is not just to enrol as many students as possible and become a massive educational organisation. Instead, they are motivated by the opportunity to have a hand in raising the next generation of leaders and innovators who will work to shape the future.
Coyotiv strongly believes that quality education should be accessible to everyone who is dedicated to this purpose, regardless of financial limitations. Unfortunately, tuition can often be a barrier for those who are just starting out in their careers. To address this, they offer a variety of options to make Coyotiv School of Software Engineering more accessible to all:
- Bildungsgutschein: If you are unemployed and a resident of Germany, you might be eligible for an “education voucher” issued by the Agentur für Arbeit or the Jobcenter. Coyotiv is AZAV-certified and the full-time course is registered as a certified course. This means they can accept the Bildungsgutschein. This educational voucher covers 100 percent of the cost of attending the full-time course.
- Study First, Pay Later: With Income Share Agreements, you can focus on your learning experience, while CHANCEN eG takes care of your tuition fees partially or completely. You’ll study first, and pay later after you find a job, based on your income.
- Instalments: With monthly payment plans, you pay an initial deposit, then split the rest of your tuition payments into a convenient, flexible schedule, with no additional interest charges. The admissions team will come up with the best plan for you to join Coyotiv.
- Diversity Scholarships: The tech industry still has a long way to go in terms of equal pay and opportunities but Coyotiv is committed to doing its part to level inequalities and give everyone the opportunity to pursue their dreams regardless of their identity and social status. You can apply for a diversity scholarship if you identify as part of a marginalised group.
