From Adidas to Bayer: The best employers in Germany, according to LinkedIn
The new Top Companies ranking has revealed the international companies that, according to the networking social media platform LinkedIn, are the best employers for career development in Germany. Unsurprisingly, home-grown companies dominated the top 10.
LinkedIn’s Top Companies in Germany 2023
For the seventh year in a row, LinkedIn has put together a list of the top 25 employers in Germany by ranking companies based on the ways they encourage employees to advance their careers.
The study involves assessing a variety of factors, including the opportunities for employee advancement both at the company and after they leave, opportunities for training and career development within the firm, the stability of the company and employee layoffs and turnover from January 2022 until the ranking was published.
Technology industry dominates the German employer ranking
Since the early 20th century, Germany has long been known internationally for its production of reliable and long-lasting technology. This reputation lives on in the 2023 LinkedIn ranking, albeit in a more 21st-century Art und Weise (manner).
Siemens, the largest industrial manufacturing company in Europe, claimed the top spot, followed by the baby of the Bosch empire, Syntegon, which produces packing technology. Star of the coronavirus pandemic and slated pioneers of the world’s first cancer vaccine, the German-Turkish-owned BioNTech came in third place.
The only non-German-owned company to make the top 10 in the federal republic was Amazon, which came in fourth place despite 2022 being the year that Amazon employees in Germany took part in the first international Black Friday strike.
German companies from the business consulting, sportswear, automotive and telecommunications industries took the remaining top 10 spots. The remaining spots in the top 25 were also largely dominated by German companies, with smatterings of US and French enterprises.
